Exclusive Right To Sell

One of the rules of sales is that you should expose your product to as many potential customers as possible. So, you might think that it's not a good idea to sign with a Tacoma or Markham real estate agent that asks for exclusive rights to the sale of your property. This means that they are the only one that is allowed to broker the sale and receive commission. But, this is the way that most local homes and real estate elsewhere is sold and you might want to learn a little bit more about it before you decide if it is right for your home sale.

There are some advantages to having one listing agent associated with your property. For one thing, they will usually be signing an agreement with you to sell your home within a relatively short period of time. Some sellers choose to list with one London Ontario real estate agent or local representative for just a couple of months. This gives that agent an incentive to be aggressive when trying to find the right buyer for your property and it will be less likely to sit on the market for several months. If you've already started looking at homes with Vaughan real estate agents and need to get out of Tacoma as quickly as possible than you may want to think of signing an exclusive listing contract.

If you've chosen to sign with an agent who requires an exclusive listing contract than you should know that you must pay their commission even if you are able to find a seller on your own. This is unless there is an exception in the contract that states otherwise. You should also find out what their policy is on cancelling a contract if you are unhappy with their work. While you would hope that your local or Leaside real estate agent would work diligently to sell your home, you will want to know what happens if they don't. A good agent should give you a sort of guarantee by being willing to sever the contract should you not be happy with them.

This is not the only option when it comes to working with an agent. If you want some help selling your Tacoma or Oshawa Ontario real estate but don't want to be tied to one agent than you might want to consider getting an exclusive agency listing or a free listing. You should definitely make sure that you're exploring all of your options before you choose what's right for you. Some people are now even choosing to go without the help of an agency or brokerage all together and sell their home alone online.
